There's ONLY ONE YOU... SMAK Saturday.

Hello friends!
I'm up on the Unity blog today for SMAK Saturday.

I'm usually a card and 3D paper crafts girl...
but
I try to always challenge myself to do layouts on these days. :)

Today -
I made a layout for my sister.
She's 10 years younger than I am,
and yet -
she's accomplished so much in her life.
...and I'm so proud of her.

She's got goals.
She's got aspirations.
She's got dreams.

I think it's so beautiful -
she has this energetic personality that I can't explain.

She takes chances.
Sometimes all too sudden.
Some of which are life changing.
However, she knows what she wants.

She surrounds herself with this postive force that allows her help her reach her ambitions.

..and through all that -
she seems to manage it all,
and comes out ahead.

Stronger and more confident.

Anyway - here's my layout using last month' SMAK:

 photo DSC_2912_zps050ae76b.jpg

..and that's her :)

 photo DSC_2909_zps3331e0e5.jpg

Isn't she beautiful?
Can't you see her positive energy radiating from her face?

I have so much faith in her...
and whatever she does,
I know she'll always succeed.

There's only one YOU...
only you can have full control over your life.

I hope that she never stops taking those opportunities given to her :)

I love my sister.
So proud of you :)

Hope that you liked my layout!

Happy Thanksgiving! Unity Hop

Hello Friends!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm so happy that you took a moment of your precious time to do the hop today!

Hope that everyone has a happy and healthy Thanksgiving and
I hope that we all take the time to count our blessings.
We all have something to be thankful for.

Since us Canadians have celebrated Thanksgiving last month -
I don't have any related projects today...
However, I'm excited to share with you some other things.

You should be arriving here from Shemaine's blog,
Unlike Unity -
there's nothing really happening today...
but that's how it should be - right?
No releases, no sale...
HOWEVER - come CYBER MONDAY..
SO MUCH FUN AWAITS YOU!

 photo CYBER_zpsaffece13.jpg

There's something for everyone!
Fun ITTY BITTYS - cute lil' STAMPS - and a new FUN KIT!
You're going to love them all!

BUT YOU'VE GOT TO PATIENTLY WAIT! :)

First up are two cards using the November Kit of the Month.

 photo DSC_3004_zps54bb19cd.jpg

Kept it simple. :)
Papers are from Carta Bella Beautiful Moments.

 photo DSC_3005_zps8f5493a5.jpg

...and another also using the same kit!

 photo DSC_3013_zpse90cbc41.jpg

Using Carta Bella Well Traveled collection.

 photo DSC_3014_zps447628d0.jpg

The layers add so much interest to this card, I think :)

Now, using the November SMAK.

 photo DSC_3010_zps532cb7ac.jpg

I really love this card -
so simple to make!
Just paper pierced all the circles and created one-sided border -
just to be different.

 photo DSC_3011_zps448d4440.jpg

Lastly, but not least is using this week's Stamp of the Week!

 photo DSC_3007_zps8b3aed66.jpg

This one...
I concentrated on making layers...
each layer signifying days...
I ripped/distressed the edges to create some texture as well.

 photo DSC_3008_zps7de529e8.jpg

I just love all of these quote stamps!
Unity makes such good choices of sentiments, don't they?

That's it!
Won't hold you up for long -

BUT - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE A COMMENT -
LOOK AT THIS AMAZING PRIZE! :)
Two lucky winners chosen Saturday!

A Very Merry Miniature Christmas Tree - SVG Cuts project.

Hello friends!
I'm excited to share with you my latest SVG Cuts project today!

For those of you that have been following me for a long time -
you'll notice that this idea was shared in the past - way back in 2010.
However - I updated the project - new papers, and some files -
to have a bit more of a current look,
and better photos, too!

For those of you that love Christmas trees -
you're gonna love this one!

It's a miniature Christmas tree!

 photo DSC_2988_zps797993b2.jpg

So pretty, right?

It is a perfect size to set it by your bedside,
or your craft table,
or for those with small spaces that they don't have a place for a big tree.

Even better - this is a perfect way to celebrate for those
having to spend Christmases away from home.

The tree base is made by cutting same six pieces,
vertically folding it and gluing the sides together.

 photo DSC_2996_zpsc2907f56.jpg

The star is made using the same techinique as my latest Wizard of Oz card (last post).
I made two of these - for the front and back, so it actually looks like a 3D embellishment!
A toothpick as inserted at the bottom to insert it into the tree!
Yep - it's totally like trimming a real tree!

 photo DSC_2978_zps985863a0.jpg

The rest is totally up to you!
I decorated with a garland and ribbonslights, trims...
and of course ornaments!

I accented the lights with glossy accents to give a bit of shine!

 photo DSC_2977_zps22184146.jpg

You can adhere the items that wraps around onto each part of the tree where it joins,
and I adhered the ornament directly on the tree by using foam tape to bring them out a bit.

This below is the cutest part!

 photo DSC_2984_zps26b4b853.jpg

Adding presents at the bottom!
Basically, you can simply wrap little boxes,
but to add a bit more fun,
I used various SVG Cuts bags and boxes files.
Then I added some twine and ribbons to dress it up!

The tree skirt is a simple doily, but it adds, too!

I hope that you liked the project today -
and if you're interested in making this,
you will need:

1.   Comet`s CandyLand SVG Collection (tree and lights)
4.   Doilies SVGCollection (tree skirt)

and then just head on over to SVG Cuts blog for details on how to make this!

Oh, and don't forget to pick up the latest SVG Cuts kit!
It's probably going to be the best advent calendar that you will ever own!

That's it!
Thanks for coming by!
Have a beautiful crafty day! :)

Reflection calendar - Unity DT Tuesday

Hello all!

For this post -
as the year almost comes to an end -
I look back.

I'm reflecting...
all the things that have happened in the past year.
Good things, not so good things...
but all meant to be.

...and want to share these two quotes with you.

So, I thought something that would allow me to 'reflect' back on the year would be appropriate...
... and I made a REFLECTION CALENDAR.

It's a little canvas/burlap wall hang with 12 'memories' representing each month.

 photo DSC_2917_zpsb844d516.jpg

I took some time to write down all the things that happened in that month,
and it helped me organize my thoughts -
how did I handle that?
Could I have done it better?
Did I appreciate the experiences that were given to me?
What would I want to change in 2014?

Stamps Used:
SMAK  (Nov 2013)

I had a lot of fun making it,
and definitely would consider making it for next year as well!

That's it for today!
Thanks for dropping by!

Everything is... WONDERFUL. - Stamp of the Week

Hello All!
Happy Sunday!

I am so excited to share the new stamp of the week with you today and what I did with it!
If you are new to Unity Stamp Company -
there's a membership that you can sign up and get a stamp and a sentiment sent to your door EVERY WEEK!
If you're interested - click HERE for more info!

So - ready to see the new stamp of the week?

 photo everything_zps2be7ecf7.jpg
I love this image!
There's actually quite a bit you can do with this image!
You can just stamp and color it -
or you can stamp, emboss and color the inside.
You can also stamp on already sprayed/textured/patterened paper
and you can fussy cut it.
If you are really patient -
you can even cut this flower in several layer to achieve dimension.

The last is what I exactly did -
and inked the sides and
I also curled up the petals to make it a bit more realistic, too.

 photo DSC_2969_zps7bae8143.jpg

Although I made three of these flowers,
I think putting them on the white background kept it clean.
It did need something at the bottom though -
so I added some moss green jute twine as a stem.

 photo DSC_2970_zpsed4ff7e3.jpg

I also added some little beads to the inside of these flowers,
just to give it some texture.

That's it!
Hope that you liked my card today,
and if you're interested -
you should go check out the Unity blog, too!
It's so fun to see more inspirationi from other design team members
using the same stamp!

Have a great Sunday! :)

... I AM WOMAN - Unity HOP

(If you're looking for Sweet Stamp Shop post - click HERE)

Hello All!
It's another hoppin' day over at Unity!
You should be arriving from Lisa's blog -
and here's a list for your reference!

Thienly Azim - that's me!

A few things happening today -
1. NEW Sentiment kit
3. NEW Snow Peeps (4 sets!)
4. ... and of course SALE (and $1 from each sale goes to Phillipines)

So...
... I AM WOMAN.
(Yes, I know that!)
...and I'm a strong woman.

I was so inspired by these fabulous quotes Erin had made -
(oooh, Erin just gave birth last week to a precious boy -
and apparently he's a mama's boy already!
Congrats girl!)

... and made FOUR things from this kit to share today!

 photo unity1_zps774ce5d3.jpg
This kit is on sale for $12 for the month,
and then it goes up to $26 -
so get yours now!

My first card I'm about to share with ya, I must say, is my favorite!
I was inspired straight from the movie -

'You've always had the power my dear,
You just had to learn it for yourself.'
- Glinda, Wizard of Oz

 photo DSC_2931_zps0d76a592.jpg

I found THE PERFECT LEG/SHOE CARD...
and it's actually a witch leg one, but hey -
totally worked!

 photo DSC_2932_zpsc22a8643.jpg

Hope you like this as much as I do!

The next up is a vintage wall hang...

 photo DSC_2934_zpsd9d35da3.jpg

Thought that it would be a neat twist to have a brick paper as a CAMEO background.
Subtle, but think it works!

 photo DSC_2935_zpsc649d434.jpg

Moving along to the next one -
another one of my faves!

Here's to strong women.
May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.

 photo DSC_2950_zps2340707e.jpg

... and I think that these SILHOUETTES just speaks for itself!

 photo DSC_2951_zpsa5fee876.jpg

I added a couple of little Maya Road flowers to give it dimension and focus.

Lastly but not least...
I made a card to go with the new {be inspired} challenge.

 photo unity5_zpsa52d457d.jpg

Be inspired by these color palettes!
Be inspired by these sketches!
It can be either or both!
The only rule is to use Unity stamps!

So... here's my take on the challenge -
both using the colors and the sketch!

 photo DSC_2953_zps2caeca9e.jpg

I made this adorable SUPER BEAR
in the lovely inspiration colors!

I used Stars of Worn as a background,
and embossed in Pewter to add in that color.

 photo DSC_2958_zpsdeb8b1d9.jpg

You can see I used some foam adhesive to bring out the pieces
and it looks super cool in person!

So... one other BIG RELEASE is the SNOW PEEPS...
and I unfortunately didn't have time to make them!
(but you will see a sample next on Renee's blog!)

 photo unity4_zps41d4d9a4.jpg

...and lastly but not least -
is the SALE!

 photo unity3_zpsec917554.jpg

Do you see?
You can help out those victims from the Phillippines tragedy -
by shopping at Unity!
This is for a great cause and I hope that you'll help out!

Oooh, and don't forget to leave some love here..
this week's hop prize is...

 photo unity6_zps91d63245.jpg

2 WINNERS!

Okay, think I've got everything!
