Blast-off into Night time Adventure!

Happy Saturday!
(well, almost!)

Last week over at SVG Cuts, they came out with the cutest 3D file!!!
It's was a very decorative pretty fleur-de-lis lamp,
but I've been dying to change it and make it totally kiddish!

I've chosen to work with one of my fave collections from October Afternoon -
and do the space theme!

I changed the lamp shade into stars and clouds
and made the lamp post a bit longer to achieve the 'reach for the moon' look.
Both of these shapes were from the Basic Shapes Library under the 'weather' in eCAL.

 photo rocketshade_zps9feb0264.jpg

... and of course I embellished it with their fun stickers and chipboards...

Ready to see?

Ta-da!

 photo DSC_0883_zps106198f7.jpg

Vellum was used behind the lamp shade openings, but where there's stars...
I used my yellow Copics.
I think it added!

I made this for my son, but before he got to see it,
but my 5 yr old daughter took this into her room claiming this as hers! lol.

(Actually... I just found this in my son's room and he's telling her that it's for HIM!
Ooooh, SHE'S UPSET!
I guess I know what my next project is going to be!)

 photo DSC_0889_zpsb6059879.jpg

I thought it was a cute touch to add some planets and a rocket
hanging down the lamp shade using a fishing line.

 photo DSC_0885_zpscf465017.jpg

I had a sturdy square chipboard that was sitting in the basement for the LONGEST TIME...
(I bought them in University at the University book store on clearance thinking that
I WILL have a use for them someday...
and yep...
about 20 years later, I found a use for them!)

So that became the base and covered with a woodgrain paper from Sasparilla collection.
I added some fun buttons and stickers...
gosh - I love these embellishments!

 photo DSC_0879_zpsf7ab2164.jpg

I even added little 'accents' to the back of the lamp -
but now that I pay attention to the sticker...
"into the great inkown" is a typo!

...and when you turn the room light off and the lamp light on - looks like this!

 photo DSC_0881_zps08c9a69f.jpg

Fun, right?

Hope that you liked my project today,
and probably will be back to post a pic of my girl's lamp soon!
(again, the lamp is from this file :)

Oh, before you go -
did ya see the sneak peek of the new kit coming out at SVG Cuts?

It's gonna be another super fun kit!

Stamp of the Week - shop. lunch. chat GAL.

Yep, that's me.
Well, my ideal life that is.
Wait...
it should read -
'shop. lunch. chat. CRAFT.'

It's time for a new Stamp of the Week over at Unity Stamp Company,
and I'm loving this week's new stamp!
It's so tres chic, and very vintag-y!

SHOP. LUNCH. CHAT GAL

 photo SOTW645_zps3a913fe3.jpg

Isnt' this ADORABLE?

This is designed by one of my fave Unity Artista - Joslyn Nielson!

I made a little tag using this week's stamp!

 photo SOTW644_zpsb8aa0ea2.jpg

I decided to keep everything neutral toned, and went shabby chic style.

Added some lace, crinkled ribbons, doily, stitches, buttons, spools, clothespin, flower...
and the image is stamped onto a fabric with brown distressing around it.

 photo DSC_0813_zpsb8b727ac.jpg

So, if you aren't signed up for the stamp of the week and are interested -

Hope that you like this image as much as I do!
Thanks for coming by -
have a beautiful Sunday girls!

Girls just wanna have fun this Thursday!

Hello all!
We've been having all kinds of fun over at Unity with this new release.
If you haven't seen it - well then... there's a lot to see - let's get this party started!

If you've been coming over from the hop, you should be arriving here from Shemaine's blog :)
Here's the whole list of participating blogs for your reference:

Thienly Azim - YOU ARE HERE!

GIRLS.
We are all one and we LOVE being one!
The artists Angie Blom and Tracey Malnofski has brought 'us' into life by creating some fun images!
It's sassy, it's classy, it's so sweet and each one is full of personality!

I've created 3 Copic cards for you today!
I must admit... being the 'modern' person I though I was would have never colored like this...
but I've been experimenting a bit, and am loving it!
It's so relaxing and fun to color in the images!

Angie has been on a roll with her AngieGirls...
I've loved each and every one of them, and this one is no exception.
Here they are the new ones - click here!

 photo angiesale_zps82ee57b9.jpg

Aren't they ADORABLE?

So here's a card I made!

 photo DSC_0749_zps82dfc5b4.jpg

I decided to make this mama radiant and full of love.
Just like my mommy.

 photo DSC_0747_zps40299adf.jpg

Angie puts a lot of 'love' into her images...

and it shows.
Notice the little 'heart' the mom is making with her hands.
Isn't that BEAUTIFUL?

 photo DSC_0695_zps841bee30.jpg

The frames that you see on the back are the same stamps I used in my card a couple of weeks ago,

Now, onto some Tracey Malnofski designs...
introducing the all new FASHIONISTAS line of stamps!
Here are the new releases!

 photo Fashionistasale_zpsfae0acc3.jpg photo Fashionista_zps584da281.jpg

Doesn't it just make ya wanna color these?
So so fun, and what's more...
Erin Lee Schreiner from our team has come up with some sentiments that go PERFECTLY with these!
(and they are being released today as well!)

 photo sassysentiments_zps845657b7.jpg

I decided to make two girls..
one with an attitude,
and another to bring out her sweet and classiness!

Can you guess which girl this is?

 photo DSC_0751_zpsee6452be.jpg

I added some 'fun' to the card by adding in some shimmer splatters,
silver jewels and various navy blue circles.
Don't you just love these sentiments?
Aren't they so perfect?

 photo DSC_0699_zpsb5286df9.jpg

It's interesting...
For those that have been coloring all along, I'm sure it comes naturally,
but for me, there's a lot to think about.
What will her skin tone be?
What kind of hair color will give her the personality I want to give her?
What would the colors that she'd be wearing?
Just even the slight difference in the 'tone' gives it a different look,
unlike my 'let's pick brown paper for hair, cream for skin..' kinda paper piercing that I'm used to!

 photo DSC_0700_zps8e874abf.jpg

Now, onto a girl with completely different personality!

 photo DSC_0742_zps0050917f.jpg
I wanted to bring out the 'class' in her, so I stayed away from bright colors, and glitter...
and decided to evolve around the 'champagne' color...
I would LOVE to wear a dress like that!

 photo DSC_0745_zpsed6a8c2f.jpg

Pretty girl, isn't she?

...AND, with all these fabulous releases,
you know that Unity is gonna put up a fun sale to go with it!
Go check them out - lots of amazing deals,
including markdowns on these new stamps!
Click here to go to the store!;

 photo girlssale_zpsfc8d94cf.jpg

one of three $20 gift certificates to the store!

So, there's still two more AMAZING designers that you won't want to miss...

Thanks for coming by today... and I'm sending you over to fabulous Erin!

I'm more of a modern/vintage kinda girl, not so cutesy or too girly...
However, these Phyllis Harris images are darling -
they are just so beautiful and brings out the KID in all of us.
They are oh so fun to color, too!

 photo PhyllisHarris_zpsbf85166e.jpg

The image that you see above is colored in by Erin Lee Schreiner -
so so cute!
This one is called - Let Love Fly.

There's one more...
and I made a sample card out of it!

I hope that you are inspired to create something so you can join us in the fun!

I've created a card so I can also join in the fun and get you started thinking about it!

 photo DSC_0677_zps0d452eb7.jpg

I usually just grab either the black or brown ink, but since it's a 'color inspiration',
I decided to get my colored inks out, and I had a lot of fun with this one!

I stamped the film strip from April 2012 SMAK onto a transparency, and I loved the look!

 photo DSC_0680_zpsac622e66.jpg

The frame and the sentiment is from September 2012 SMAK.
Don't ya just love the shot of the two boys?
They look like they really 'click', don't they? Haha.

The background hearts are from ...love survives everything.

 photo DSC_0679_zps6a29d021.jpg

These lovely papers and buttons are from Midway collection from October Afternoon.

Oh, and lastly, but not least - it's March, so we have a new sentiment kit!

Friends with Flair Friday!

Happy Friday my friends!
It's almost the weekend!
Whoo-hoo!

Today, I've got a {s.i.m.p.l.e} card to share with you -
it's the stamp that does IT.
I just LOVE this stamp so much, I had to get it, just so I know I have it in my hands.

It's designed by Joslyn Nielsen (Gosh, I LOVE her art!)
and it's a part of the Nov 2010 Kit of the Month.

The art speaks itself...
and love how minimal it is.
Just didn't want to mess it up.
It was already PICTURE PERFECT to me. :)

I stamped it on kraft paper,
added some neutral colors to the frames and the sofa,
and emphasized the sentiment by stamping it on vellum.

 photo DSC_0673_zps0677b2af.jpg

Isn't the camera brad cute?

 photo DSC_0674_zps2907ccbd.jpg

I love how the woodgrain washi made it look like hardwood floor on this card!
(If only getting the real wood was as simple and cheap!)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway - I had two new projects up on my blog yesterday.
If you missed it - come check out and see HERE!
It's part of the Unity hop, so THREE lucky comments will get to win a $20 gift certificate!

Alright - today, I've got two things to share with you!

The first is a card made from current Kit of the Month.
It's absolutely gorgeous, and if you haven't seen it -
you can view it here.

I loved that HUGE frame stamp in the kit,
and was inspired to use it as a border for my card.

 photo DSC_0647-1_zpsa79da2ee.jpg

I think it turned out darn cute!
The Echo Park Sweet Day collection was just PERFECT
to give that soft feel of the card.

I cut out the inside of the frame and backed it with cloud paper.
The kites were paper pierced and foam tape was used to give dimension.

 photo DSC_0648_zpsd1c5767b.jpg

The lovely sentiment also needed a 'frame' -
so I 'drew' the borders myself to match the other frame!

I love the look of that sentiment -
very chalkboard, vintage look :)

My next project is a little brown glassine gift bag -
embellished with stamps from Feb Kit of the Month.

 photo DSC_0664_zps6c07f0a2.jpg

EVERYTHING is a stamp... except for the doily, burlap, buttons, and that ruler.
I just LOVE that wood board stamp, along with the sentiment, the seed packet...
and the little watering can is actually from here.

 photo DSC_0665_zps6991e9ed.jpg

I had some wooden flower buttons - just what I needed!

 photo DSC_0666_zps9dec2774.jpg

You can see how fun it is by adhering items in different layers :)

So, that`s it for today!
Hope that you liked my projects :)

Wishing you a beautiful day!

Nobunny like you...

Happy Friday!
(and welcome to all my friends from Friends with Flairs :) )

I'm FINALLY back into my crafting mode, after coming back from my two week vacation.
It was an amazing trip, but unfortunately, I came down with something right before I left
...and INFECTED my ENTIRE family (Six of them, including my parents)
It's been a rough ride, and just found out that four of us have bronchitis,
so we're now treated, as of yesterday :)
Hoping to get better soon!

Today, I have a fun Easter project to share with you
using the current Stamp of the Week from Unity Stamp Company.
I love these weekly stamps - so cute and easy to get inspired!
ONLY TWO more days to get this stamp -
so if ya love it -
(I know you do!)
Go sign up at the link above!

 photo nobunnylikeyou_zps051fafa2.jpg

I decided to make a Easter basket filled with 'carrots'.
All the files are from here, of course SVG Cuts.
I love how their files add so much to Unity stamps!

 photo DSC_0572_zps64e3b23c.jpg

Isn't the stamp cute?
I adore that bunny, and you may not able to tell,
but I made this into a lollipop holder.

 photo DSC_0564_zps9d31d5c8.jpg

I also LOVE the sentiment, which I decided to stick them on a rod, like a sign.

 photo DSC_0571_zpsc34c70da.jpg

This was the first time I made this basket and I was so impressed,
as with any other Mary's files.
All the weaving strips fit together so well -
I was blown away.
I have NO idea how one would make not only rounded,
but a basket, and make it fit together so perfectly.

 photo DSC_0567_zps5d730a5a.jpg

You've got to check out these adorable carrots, too!
They open up at the top, so you can fill them with little Easter goodies, like tiny eggs and jellybeans.
The basket and the carrots are all in one kit!

 photo DSC_0568_zpsc213ccc8.jpg

...and they are SUPER SIMPLE to put together!

Anyway, that's it for today.
Hope that you liked my project!

Don't forget about the fabulous releases from Joslyn Nielson this week!
Have you seen it?
Go check it out at the store!

See the promo this week as well -
ALL Itty Bittys are Buy one, Get one for $0.01!
and there's a FREE GIFT with EVERY ORDER over $25!

 photo Unitypromo_zpsf0440d38.jpg

Oh, I saw the 'sneak peeks' of the latest SVG Cuts new kit.
It's mind blowing.
It's gorgeous.
I'm gonna have SO MUCH fun with it!
Just wait and see... :)
